Red Cross Torchlight Procession
Every year, to remember the establishment of the Red Cross, a torchlight procession is held on the way that leads from Solferino to Castiglione delle Stiviere. At the end of June, in fact, thousands of volunteers from around the world gather to demonstrate, by their presence, the strength and importance of this association.
The walk goes along the most affected places by the tragic battle that gave Henry Dunant the idea to create this movement. The event is a moment of joy and sharing: people come together from all over the world, united under the flag that symbolizes love and help towards the others. It really is something exceptional, that encourages the spirit to continue to donate time and efforts to those in need.
See you on 20 June 2015!
